【摘要】:Thisguideisintendedtoprovideanunderstandingofthewiderangeofcommunicationprotocolsstandards,allowingtheusertounderstandbettertheirapplicabilitytoshipboardnetworksandmarineplatformcomputerizedsystems.Forcomputerizednetworksandsystems,communicationprotocolsarenecessaryforintegratingvarioussystemdevices,providingfunctionalitybetweendissimilarsubnetworks,orforenablingremoteconnections,eitherpiersideorthroughgeophysicalcommunicationtechnologies.Thewidevarietyandscopeofdigitalcommunicationprotocolstandardsaddsgreatlytothecomplexdecisionprocessforspecifyingcompatibleprotocolsforsystemapplicationsandrelateddevicesforthemyriadofpotentialshipboardsystems.However,theusermustidentifytheinitialnetworkingrequirements,sooncethenetworkprotocolsunderevaluationarewellunderstood,thedecisionprocessshoulddeterminetheappropriatenetworkprotocols.Therefore,thisguideisintendedtoreducethecomplexityinvolvedwithprotocolselectionandimplementation.Networkprotocolsdefineanagreed,quantifiableentity,orsetofrules,bywhichusercomputers,systemnetworks,andinternetworkingdevicescommunicateandexchangeinformation.Communicationprotocolsspecifyessentialnetworkingguidelines,suchasphysicalinterfaceconnections,ordataformatandcontroloperationsbetweentwocommunicatingcomputers.Shipandmarinedigitalcommunicationprotocolrequirementsarenodifferentthantheirland-basednetworkedcounterparts.Bothrequirestandardizedprotocolselection,invariousprotocolcategories,includingLANstandards,WANprotocols,LAN/WANprotocols,networkmanagement,wiringhubconfigurations/operations,hardwareplatforms,operatingsystems,andnetworkapplications.1.1Theprincipalcontentofthisguideprovidesaroadmaptoimplementacommunicationnetworkapplicabletoshipandmarinecomputersystemsby:1.1.1Examiningtherelationshipofdigitalcommunicationprotocolsasanetworktechnologicalinfrastructure,1.1.2Outliningthebasicbuildingblocksofnetworktopologiesandtransmissiontechniquesassociatedwiththeimplementationoftransmissionmediainanetworkenvironment;and,1.1.3Identifyingoperatingsystemandenvironments.1.2UsingtheOpenSystemInterconnection(OSI)model,whichprovidesalayeredapproachtonetworkfunctionalityandevaluation,commonnetworkcommunicationsprotocolsareidentifiedandcharacterizedinthisguideaccordingtolowerandupperlayerprotocolscorrespondingtotheirdegreeandtypeoffunctionality.1.3Althoughitisdesirablethatnetworkusers,designers,andadministratorsrecognizeandunderstandeverypossiblenetworkingprotocol,itisnotpossibletoknowtheintimatedetailsofeveryprotocolspecification.Accordingly,thisguideisnotintendedtoaddressfullyeveryhardwareandsoftwareprotocoleverdevelopedforcommercialuse,whichspansaperiodofabout25years.Instead,theuserofthisguidewillbeintroducedtoabriefoverviewofthemajorityofpastandpresentprotocolswhichmaycompriseashipormarineinternetwork,toincludeLocalAreaNetworks(LANs),WideAreaNetworks(WANs),andrelatedhardwareandsoftwarethatprovidesuchnetworkinteroperabilityanddatatransfer.1.4Whilethisguideprovidesanunderstandingofthewiderangeofcommunicationprotocols,theuserisrecommendedtoconsultthereferencematerialforacquiringamorecomprehensiveunderstandingofindividualcommunicationprotocols.However,byexaminingthebasicfunctionsofprotocolsandreviewingtheprotocolcharacterizationcriteriaidentifiedinthisguide,theuserwillbemoreapttounderstandingother......
