【摘要】:ThistestmethodisdesignedtoassesstherelativepurityofproductionPPDs.Theseadditivesareprimarilyusedasantiozonantsfortiresandotherrubberorpolymericproducts.Sincetheresultsofthistestmethodarebasedonareanormalization,itassumesthatallcomponentsareelutedfromthecolumnandeachcomponenthasthesamedetectorresponse.Althoughthisisnotstrictlytrue,theerrorsintroducedarerelativelysmallandmuchthesameforallsamples;thus,theycanbeignoredsincetheintentofthetestmethodistoestablishrelativepurity.Althoughtraceamountsofx201C;lowboilersx201D;arepresentinproductionsamples,theyaredisguisedbythesolventpeakwhenusingpackedcolumns(ProcedureA).1.1ThistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthepurityofClassI,II,andIIIp-phenylenediamine(PPD)antidegradantsasdescribedinClassificationD4676bygaschromatography(GC)detectionandareanormalizationfordatareduction.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
